LITTLE BOY LOST
by: Angela S. Pela

Little boy lost, where did you go? Why my son? Why is this so?
Your birth was like a dream come true...A perfect child yet no one knew.
The joy you brought, too much to measure...This little boy, our greatest treasure.
We watched you grow and run and play...Yet not a word did you say.
By the age of two, you started to change...Some of your habits seemed very strange.
Your thoughts locked tightly inside your head...Not a word was spoken, but yet you read!
Your blocks lined up in perfect rows...What's the reason? No one knows.
You wanted no changes, all must stay the same. What was the reason? Was I to blame?
Your face with such beauty, those dark staring eyes...But if something upset you, such heart breaking cries!
I tried to console you, to make you all well...But I couldn't get into your personal hell.
If our love could have saved you, it would have long since been done...The war would be over, your battle be won.
Where is the child that I used to know? Where is my son? Where did he go?
For now he is lost in a strange world that binds him...But I'll never give up, some day we will find him.
