As a chapter of the National Autism Association, you will be a point-of-contact for your state/region, a place for resources and most importantly a place to find support. NAA and its chapters take pride in hard work and clear goals to help as many families as possible in the shortest amount of time. We need your help!

Karen McDonough
Chapter Development Director
Mom to Kevin, Timothy, and Meredith

Karen holds a degree in Economics from the University of Illinois and has worked in sales in both the medical and direct marketing industries prior to her son Kevin's ASD diagnosis at age 3.  She spent several years helping to develop children's programs at her local YMCA, including classes for kids with developmental delays and their families.  She is on the Board of Directors for Prairie Collaborative, Inc., a non-profit organization in Illinois that focuses on vaccine safety issues.  Karen is the founder and President of the NAA Chicago Metro Chapter.  Her son Kevin has made dramatic improvement in his symptoms of autism despite starting biomedical interventions at age 11, and Karen is dedicated to to helping other parents learn that autism is a medically definable and treatable disorder.

Contact Karen at karen@nationalautism.org or 877-622-2884 with your request to start a new chapter.  We'll send you a copy of our chapter booklet which includes our chapter policy.

All of our chapters must be incorporated.  We’re here to help you every step of the way.

Together, anything's possible!
